Gay Marriage

Gay Marriage is often a big topic that is communicated beyond the lines of marriage. It is discriminated in many ways such as same sex, cant produce children, religious views etc. Being married is a privilege and should be able to be obtained by anyone who is 18 or older to decide who makes them happy enough to call them their husband or wife. It should not matter what gender you marry as long as you know that this person will make you happy till death do you two apart that's all that should matter. Also having the problem that you and your partner cant reproduce is one of the disadvantages a lot of people hold against gay marriage, it is not being said that some women cannot reproduce children as hard as they try but does that make it right to discriminate against a same sex marriage that can't reproduce a child, it does not make sense that people can comment on this fact but cannot understand a women that is in a man and women marriage face the same problems as a same sex marriage does. I do not understand how one can look two people in their eyes that are madly in love with each other and tell them that its not right for you two to be married to each other because you guys are the same sex. After all of this it all comes down to why shouldn't two ordinary people that really love each other be together, when only one thing is keeping them from being sealed together till the end and that is acceptance.

  1. I think you have many great points! Gay marriage should not be looked down on just because they cannot reproduce.

  2. The first amendment of the constitution respecting the freedom of religion states that Congress may pass no law that inhibits the expression of religion, nor are they allowed to pass any law favoring, or establishing a religion. The fundamental flaw in the Anti-Gay movement to keep it outlawed is that in that simple law banning many couples from having meaning, fulfilled lives together, they are favoring a religious view above a person's right to marriage. Furthermore, if someone can go down to Vegas and get married to the first stripper that says yes, and that is considered by the state to be a legal marriage, then two men who have been together for years, and have committed themselves to each other should have the same rights.

  3. You make some very good points and I have to say I agree wholeheartedly. It looks like society is beginning to realize this as well, and it seems like more and more states will continue to allow gay marriage

  5. this is amazing.

I have a few family members that are gay,
so I know that there is nothing wrong with them being together,
and I would say let them get married, because there's really no good reason why they shouldn't be able to.

  6. I completely and 100% agree with you! If two people love each other they should be able to get married!

  7. Gays are not that different. Many women cant have children and are married to man so there no that much difference. Its only a matter of time before the country allows gay marriage.

  8. Gay marriage is something that shouldn't be, in any situation discriminated against. Everyone is different and should be accepted. It breaks my heart when gays are dogged on. We are who we are. I, myself have a family member who is, and I adore him!
It's also hard for those who are to be open about it due to the fear of being made fun of and such. It's just wrong. No one should feel like they can't be themselves.
I also love that you added "over 18". That's a good point.

  10. I agree with your ideas, people should be able to do what makes them happy as long as they don't hurt other people.
